PRIVATE VOICE

Shine offers 1/2 hour and 1 hour private lessons for students interested in vocal training. All private voice students have the opportunity to perform in our yearly recital.

For the student interested in more performance opportunities, we offer vocal competitions and extra performances. Shine can also help prepare students for auditions, talent shows, performances at school or pageants.

MUSICAL THEATRE

For students 8-12 years old that love musicals and enjoy singing, dancing and acting, we have a musical theatre class. In this class, students play fun acting games, read scenes and monologues and learn songs and dances from musicals.

GROUP VOCAL CLASSES

4-7 years old
Students learn the basics of music and begin to develop their vocal and listening skills. The class includes beginning music theory, music games, rhythm beating and singing in rounds. Instruction is similar to a Suzuki approach to piano or violin playing, and learning will be achieved through repetition. Students will sing in a group setting, with the opportunity to be able to sing solo sections during group songs.

8-11 years old
Students begin class with group vocal warm ups and exercises. Students then work on songs as a group. Each student then has the opportunity to learn a song that they perform solo in front of the class at least every other week. The instructor gives notes and critiques to each student. This is an excellent class for beginner students who are interested in learning to sing. Students will learn a group song for the yearly recital.

12+ years old
Students begin class with group vocal warm ups and exercises. Students then work on songs as a group. MUSICALS

Each season, Shine produces a full musical production. Students rehearse once a week for approximately 3 months. Costumes, props and sets are provided. Performances are at a professional theater.
